Turkey is quickly becoming a year round destination, with many of the major tour operators now offering flights here for 52 weeks of the year. This vast country has a great mixture of Eastern and Western culture, stunning scenery and amazing beaches edged by stunning turquoise waters. With huge bustling resorts where you can barter at the markets for bargain leather goods and sports gear where maybe even spot a famous face such as Una Therman and her beau, to tiny remote villages waiting to be discovered. You can see why it has fast become a firm favourite for Brits who return here year after year.

The temperatures here can reach amazing figures especially in the height of the season so be careful what time of year you choose for your trip, whenever it is don’t forget that high factor sun lotion. If you tire of sunning yourself on one of the numerous sandy beaches on offer, then you can choose from ancient ruins, natural wonders and even visit Roman remains.

As the warm summer evenings draw in you can choose superb cuisine or drinks around the marina where the rich and famous dock their yachts to clubbing in one of the many bars and discos. You can always find your own pace after a hectic day on the tourist trail.

Eating Out

It is extremely cheap to eat out where ever you visit in Turkey, most traditional meals start with traditional meze, this itself is enough for some people offering stuffed vine leaves, aubergines, sea food, vegetables, rice etc

Be warned though food is usually not served hot as it is considered an insult in Turkey if food is served piping hot.

Places to Visit

You cannot visit Turkey with out trying out the traditional Turkish bath, these are offered at most hotels. For the really adventuras take a trip to one of the most photographed places in Turkey, Olu Deniz, and plunge from the amazing cliffs on a paraglide, that has to be a once in a life time experience.
