The tapas bars are a great informal way of starting off the evening, maybe rounding it off with a visit to one of the many ice-cream parlours with the kids where the creations are unbelievable and look too good to eat. For a true taste of the Med try local fresh seafood dishes such as sarsuella or the better known paella washed down with a jug of the refreshingly fruity sangria.

Places to Visit

For the family a trip to Europes largest waterpark has to be a must or maybe you would prefer the less energetic Marineland where it's the best of both worlds with slides, dolphine shows and sea lions all under the same roof. If you would prefer a little culture visit Estartit and marvel at the 13th century castle.
